PLANO
About Plano
Money Magazine recently named Plano the third best place to live in the U.S. Companies such as Toyota, J.C. Penney and Frito-Lay have corporate offices here and the city has 200,000 jobs with another 20,000 expected over the next five years. New apartment complexes are popping up each year and The Shops at Legacy and Legacy West feature some of the best dining and shopping options outside of Dallas. With a population near 300,000, Plano feels like its own big city instead of a suburb.
This is one city that's basically divided into 2 areas. East Plano is on US 75 - Central Expressway and George Bush Tollway. Here you'll find historic downtown Plano with cobblestone streets lined with bars, coffee shops, live music and great restaurants. Just 5 minutes away from downtown Plano is a DART station you can ride straight into Downtown Dallas.
West Plano is around the area of George Bush Tollway and the North Dallas Tollway, home of the Shops of Legacy and so much more! This is a personal favorite of mine!
You'll find great apartment specials in Plano and an average rent of $1200.
